箴言 | CH. 14 |
1 | 智慧妇人,建立家室。愚妄妇人,亲手拆毁。 The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. | ||
2 | 行动正直的,敬畏耶和华。行事乖僻的,却藐视他。 He whose walk is upright fears the LORD, but he whose ways are devious despises him. | ||
3 | 愚妄人口中骄傲,如杖责打己身。智慧人的嘴,必保守自己。 A fool's talk brings a rod to his back, but the lips of the wise protect them. | ||
4 | 家里无牛,槽头干净。土产加多,乃凭牛力。 Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty, but from the strength of an ox comes an abundant harvest. | ||
5 | 诚实见证人,不说谎话。假见证人,吐出谎言。 A truthful witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies. | ||
6 | 亵慢人寻智慧,却寻不着。聪明人易得知识。 The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning. | ||
7 | 到愚昧人面前,不见他嘴中有知识。 Stay away from a foolish man, for you will not find knowledge on his lips. | ||
8 | 通达人的智慧,在乎明白己道。愚昧人的愚妄,乃是诡诈。(或作自欺) The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception. | ||
9 | 愚妄人犯罪,以为戏耍。(或作赎愆祭愚弄愚妄人)正直人互相喜悦。 Fools mock at making amends for sin, but goodwill is found among the upright. | ||
10 | 心中的苦楚,自己知道。心里的喜乐,外人无干。 Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy. | ||
11 | 奸恶人的房屋必倾倒。正直人的帐棚必兴盛。 The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish. | ||
12 | 有一条路人以为正。至终成为死亡之路。 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. | ||
13 | 人在喜笑中,心也忧愁。快乐至极,就生愁苦。 Even in laughter the heart may ache, and joy may end in grief. | ||
14 | 心中背道的,必满得自己的结果。善人必从自己的行为,得以知足。 The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways, and the good man rewarded for his. | ||
15 | 愚蒙人是话都信。通达人步步谨慎。 A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps. | ||
16 | 智慧人惧怕,就远离恶事。愚妄人却狂傲自恃。 A wise man fears the LORD and shuns evil, but a fool is hotheaded and reckless. | ||
17 | 轻易发怒的,行事愚妄。设立诡计的,被人恨恶。 A quick-tempered man does foolish things, and a crafty man is hated. | ||
18 | 愚蒙人得愚昧为产业。通达人得知识为冠冕。 The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. | ||
19 | 坏人俯伏在善人面前。恶人俯伏在义人门口。 Evil men will bow down in the presence of the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous. | ||
20 | 贫穷人连邻舍也恨他。富足人朋友最多。 The poor are shunned even by their neighbors, but the rich have many friends. | ||
21 | 藐视邻舍的,这人有罪。怜悯贫穷的,这人有福。 He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy. | ||
22 | 谋恶的岂非走入迷途吗?谋善的必得慈爱和诚实。 Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness. | ||
23 | 诸般勤劳,都有益处。嘴上多言,乃致穷乏。 All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. | ||
24 | 智慧人的财,为自己的冠冕。愚妄人的愚昧,终是愚昧。 The wealth of the wise is their crown, but the folly of fools yields folly. | ||
25 | 作真见证的,救人性命。吐出谎言的,施行诡诈。 A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is deceitful. | ||
26 | 敬畏耶和华的,大有倚靠。他的儿女,也有避难所。 He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge. | ||
27 | 敬畏耶和华,就是生命的泉源,可以使人离开死亡的网罗。 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death. | ||
28 | 帝王荣耀在乎民多。君王衰败在乎民少。 A large population is a king's glory, but without subjects a prince is ruined. | ||
29 | 不轻易发怒的,大有聪明。性情暴躁的,大显愚妄。 A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly. | ||
30 | 心中安静,是肉体的生命。嫉妒是骨中的朽烂。 A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. | ||
31 | 欺压贫寒的,是辱没造他的主。怜悯穷乏的,乃是尊敬主 He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. | ||
32 | 恶人在所行的恶上,必被推倒。义人临死,有所投靠。 When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous have a refuge. | ||
33 | 智慧存在聪明人心中。愚昧人心里所存的,显而易见。 Wisdom reposes in the heart of the discerning and even among fools she lets herself be known. | ||
34 | 公义使邦国高举。罪恶是人民的羞辱。 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people. | ||
35 | 智慧的臣子,蒙王恩惠。贻羞的仆人,遭其震怒。 A king delights in a wise servant, but a shameful servant incurs his wrath. |
