| | 1 | 當春雨的時候、你們要向發閃電的耶和華求雨．他必為眾人降下甘霖、使田園生長菜蔬。
Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who makes the storm clouds. He gives showers of rain to men, and plants of the field to everyone.

| | 2 | 因為家神所言的是虛空、卜士所見的是虛假、作夢者所說的是假夢．他們白白的安慰人．所以眾人如羊流離、因無牧人就受苦。
The idols speak deceit, diviners see visions that lie; they tell dreams that are false, they give comfort in vain. Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd.

| | 3 | 我的怒氣向牧人發作、我必懲罰公山羊．因我萬軍之耶和華眷顧自己的羊群、就是猶大家、必使他們如駿馬在陣上。
"My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; for the LORD Almighty will care for his flock, the house of Judah, and make them like a proud horse in battle.

| | 4 | 房角石、釘子、爭戰的弓、和一切掌權的、都從他而出。
From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler.

| | 5 | 他們必如勇士、在陣上將仇敵踐踏在街上的泥土中．他們必爭戰、因為耶和華與他們同在．騎馬的也必羞愧。
Together they will be like mighty men trampling the muddy streets in battle. Because the LORD is with them, they will fight and overthrow the horsemen.

| | 6 | 我要堅固猶大家、拯救約瑟家、要領他們歸回．我要憐恤他們．他們必像未曾棄絕的一樣．都因我是耶和華他們的 神．我必應允他們的禱告。
"I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them. They will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the LORD their God and I will answer them.

| | 7 | 以法蓮人必如勇士．他們心中暢快如同喝酒．他們的兒女必看見而快活．他們的心必因耶和華喜樂。
The Ephraimites will become like mighty men, and their hearts will be glad as with wine. Their children will see it and be joyful; their hearts will rejoice in the LORD.

| | 8 | 我要發珱聲、聚集他們．因我已經救贖他們．他們的人數必加增、如從前加增一樣。
I will signal for them and gather them in. Surely I will redeem them; they will be as numerous as before.

| | 9 | 我雖然〔或作必〕播散他們在列國中、他們必在遠方記念我．他們與兒女都必存活、且得歸回。
Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet in distant lands they will remember me. They and their children will survive, and they will return.

| | 10 | 我必再領他們出埃及地、招聚他們出亞述、領他們到基列和利巴嫩．這地尚且不彀他們居住。
I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon, and there will not be room enough for them.

| | 11 | 耶和華必經過苦海、擊打海浪、使尼羅河的深處都枯乾．亞述的驕傲、必至卑微．埃及的權柄必然滅沒。
They will pass through the sea of trouble; the surging sea will be subdued and all the depths of the Nile will dry up. Assyria's pride will be brought down and Egypt's scepter will pass away.

| | 12 | 我必使他們倚靠我、得以堅固．一舉一動必奉我的名．這是耶和華說的。
I will strengthen them in the LORD and in his name they will walk," declares the LORD.
