David summoned all the officials of Israel to assemble at Jerusalem: the officers over the tribes, the commanders of the divisions in the service of the king, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, and the officials in charge of all the property and livestock belonging to the king and his sons, together with the palace officials, the mighty men and all the brave warriors. | |
| | 2 | 大衛王就站起來、說、我的弟兄、我的百姓阿、你們當聽我言、我心裡本想建造殿宇、安放耶和華的約櫃、作為我 神的腳凳．我已經豫備建造的材料。
King David rose to his feet and said: "Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it. | |
| | 3 | 只是 神對我說、你不可為我的名建造殿宇、因你是戰士、流了人的血。
But God said to me, 'You are not to build a house for my Name, because you are a warrior and have shed blood.' | |
| | 4 | 然而耶和華以色列的 神、在我父的全家揀選我作以色列的王、直到永遠．因他揀選猶大為首領、在猶大支派中揀選我父家、在我父的眾子裡喜悅我、立我作以色列眾人的王。
"Yet the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah he chose my family, and from my father's sons he was pleased to make me king over all Israel. | |
| | 5 | 耶和華賜我許多兒子．在我兒子中、揀選所羅門坐耶和華的國位、治理以色列人。
Of all my sons--and the LORD has given me many--he has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel. | |
| | 6 | 耶和華對我說、你兒子所羅門必建造我的殿和院宇．因為我揀選他作我的子、我也必作他的父。
He said to me: 'Solomon your son is the one who will build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. | |
| | 7 | 他若恆久遵行我的誡命典章、如今日一樣、我就必堅定他的國位、直到永遠。
I will establish his kingdom forever if he is unswerving in carrying out my commands and laws, as is being done at this time.' | |
| | 8 | 現今在耶和華的會中、以色列眾人眼前所說的、我們的 神也聽見了．你們應當尋求耶和華你們 神的一切誡命、謹守遵行．如此你們可以承受這美地、遺留給你們的子孫、永遠為業。
"So now I charge you in the sight of all Israel and of the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God: Be careful to follow all the commands of the LORD your God, that you may possess this good land and pass it on as an inheritance to your descendants forever. | |
| | 9 | 我兒所羅門哪、你當認識耶和華你父的 神、誠心樂意地事奉他．因為他鑒察眾人的心、知道一切心思意念．你若尋求他、他必使你尋見．你若離棄他、他必永遠丟棄你。
"And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. | |
| | 10 | 你當謹慎、因耶和華揀選你建造殿宇、作為聖所．你當剛強去行。
Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a temple as a sanctuary. Be strong and do the work." | |
| | 11 | 大衛將殿的遊廊、旁屋、府庫、樓房、內殿、和施恩所的樣式、指示他兒子所羅門．
Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, its storerooms, its upper parts, its inner rooms and the place of atonement. | |
| | 12 | 又將被靈感動所得的樣式、就是耶和華 神殿的院子、周圍的房屋、殿的府庫、和聖物府庫的一切樣式都指示他．
He gave him the plans of all that the Spirit had put in his mind for the courts of the temple of the LORD and all the surrounding rooms, for the treasuries of the temple of God and for the treasuries for the dedicated things. | |
| | 13 | 又指示他祭司和利未人的班次、與耶和華殿裡各樣的工作、並耶和華殿裡一切器皿的樣式、
He gave him instructions for the divisions of the priests and Levites, and for all the work of serving in the temple of the LORD, as well as for all the articles to be used in its service. | |
| | 14 | 以及各樣應用金器的分兩、和各樣應用銀器的分兩．
He designated the weight of gold for all the gold articles to be used in various kinds of service, and the weight of silver for all the silver articles to be used in various kinds of service: | |
| | 15 | 金燈臺和金燈的分兩、銀燈臺和銀燈的分兩、輕重各都合宜．
the weight of gold for the gold lampstands and their lamps, with the weight for each lampstand and its lamps; and the weight of silver for each silver lampstand and its lamps, according to the use of each lampstand; | |
| | 16 | 陳設餅金桌子的分兩、銀桌子的分兩、
the weight of gold for each table for consecrated bread; the weight of silver for the silver tables; | |
| | 17 | 精金的肉叉子、盤子、和爵的分兩、各金碗與各銀碗的分兩、
the weight of pure gold for the forks, sprinkling bowls and pitchers; the weight of gold for each gold dish; the weight of silver for each silver dish; | |
| | 18 | 精金香壇的分兩、並用金子作基路伯．〔原文作用金子作車式的基路伯〕基路伯張開翅膀、遮掩耶和華的約櫃。
and the weight of the refined gold for the altar of incense. He also gave him the plan for the chariot, that is, the cherubim of gold that spread their wings and shelter the ark of the covenant of the LORD. | |
| | 19 | 大衛說、這一切工作的樣式、都是耶和華用手劃出來、使我明白的。
"All this," David said, "I have in writing from the hand of the LORD upon me, and he gave me understanding in all the details of the plan." | |
| | 20 | 大衛又對他兒子所羅門說、你當剛強壯膽去行．不要懼怕、也不要驚惶．因為耶和華 神就是我的 神、與你同在、他必不撇下你、也不丟棄你、直到耶和華殿的工作都完畢了。
David also said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished. | |
| | 21 | 有祭司和利未人的各班、為要辦理 神殿各樣的事．又有靈巧的人、在各樣的工作上、樂意幫助你．並有眾首領和眾民、一心聽從你的命令。
The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the work on the temple of God, and every willing man skilled in any craft will help you in all the work. The officials and all the people will obey your every command." | |
